Cute Birthday Card for a Cute Girl !!!

Hello Friends !!!

I have been really busy with work and in the process of completing my first ever scrapbook. So just a quick update of the card I made 2-3 weeks back for the daughter of one of my friends. I think that is implied.. because it's all pinky pinky.... :)) It turned out to be very cute and clean. I had the perfect pages, stamps and stickers for a birthday card this time, all thanks to Adornit.com-Carolee's creations. They have some really nice paper and stickers for almost all themes.

Also recently, I have taken to creating envelopes for my cards too. So this card also had the luck of getting gift packed in a matching envelope.. :)) I hope you enjoy viewing this card. Let me know how you liked it.

One more flower card !!!!

One more post on the same day !!! I have never been able to do this before.... lol.... I wanted to use the new flower stamp so badly that I just stamped it and colored it in sunny yellow and ochre colors. Used a brown colored thread to add a border and pigment ink to create worn-out style borders (I did not have distress inks at that time)..... I stamped the background using one of the Life is Good collection stamps. I colored the Maya Road chipboard alpha using sunny yellow and brown colors. The colors turned out to be very bright and sunny and that became the reason for the sentiment "Great Day"..... I loved how this card turned out. I am not entering it for any challenge. It is just for fun.

Flowers and distress inks....

Hi everyone...... This time I have really taken very long to post something... all thanks to lots of work at home and also I have not been having a good time off late. Got down with sinus first and then fractured my leg. But the later has helped me get some time to take photos of my creations I have recently created. My first set of distress inks arrived 15 days back and I am so happy to possess them that I have created a lot of things from them. The inspiration for this card came from a source I don't remember :P. But some newly released PTI Stamps were used in that creation. So I liked the idea of creating a window themed card. It gives a look as if you are looking outside from the window of a house and can see a lovely landscape outside... I hope it gives the same feeling to you people :))))I just wish I had used a more colorful paper for the front of the card. Let me know how you like it. I used sponge daubers on purpose and not sponge applicators... just to give it a dotted or a fingertip-printed effect.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
1. DYSU Challenge #26 Squares
2. Ruby's rainbow Challenge - Flowers
3. Hooked On Craft Challenge-Flowers
4. Deep Ocean Challenge - Flowers

Hey everyone,

On National Scrapbooking Day, I had won a Fiskars Premium Cut-line trimmer in a challenge at the Creating Keepsakes CK Club and My FISKARS PREMIUM CUT-LINE TRIMMER has arrived. I am so excited to have won one because I wanted one so badly. And they also sent me the Creating Keepsakes magazine's February issue and I read it the very day I got it :P. Trust me it is really interesting. So many techniques and ideas for scrapbooking which can be used in card-making too. And yeah yeah yeah.. I also received an attacher which says "Part of the Flock Club CK"... So here are some pics of the surprises I got.

Mother's Day Card !!!!!

Hi everyone !!!! I know I took a fifteen days posting break again :P. This time I am posting the card that I made for ICR Challenge 2. I am also entering this card for the Pink and Brown Challenge on Addicted to Stamps Pink and Brown Challenge. I printed out a digi stamp and have colored it using water color pencils and aqua flo brushes. I am new to this kind of coloring but I enjoyed doing it. I also made some handmade brown pattern paper as I did not have the right color with me... And pink suits really well with brown so I wanted to use only brown color with pink. I used the Ippity Stamps - Dots for Sure and Gingham for creating an overlapped background for the inside of the card. Used a stamp bought from a local store to stamp the Mother's day sentiment. I feel that I am gradually improving as far as my card-making skills are concerned and I am happy about that :)). Do leave some love if you like it. Thanks for stopping by....

A cutie cutie birthday card !!!!

Hi everyone.....

Today being a holiday, I have got time to publish two posts. In this post, I am going to show you a card that I made last night for the birthday of one of my colleague's cute lil girl. Since she is very small, I made this card very colorful and cute. I hope she likes it. Her birthday falls tomorrow. I have used my new Micia stamp set and the acrylic blocks that I got from Karuna last evening only. The bug is really very cute. I love it :)) Thanks Karuna. Check this card out.

A small card...

Hi all,

Last weekend, I made a small 'Life is Good' greeting card. I just made it out of THIS N THAT paper from the Ad Lib collection by Bo Bunny. I also used the clear stamps from the same collection to create background for the card. I used the sticker from the Life is Good Collection. On the inside of the card I have just stamped a sentiment. Since it is not made specifically for anyone, I have not written or done anything on the inside. I took a lot of time in making this but I really enjoyed the end result. Just check it out and do leave your feedback.:))

Hi all.......... This time I have shot the snap of a wooden coaster which I decorated using the Pixie-licious collection papers, borders and some 3D stickers and scissor-cut hearts. I made this to just add something to my boring office desk bulletin board. It definitely did make a colorful change. Check it out !!!

Colorful Bookmark !!

Hello friends,

Sorry for posting this thread so late... These are a bookmark and a bookmark cover which has been colored and customized by me. I did this with the help of a stamp set which I had bought from Hobby Ideas and my camlin crayons set of 24 colors. I really enjoyed the coloring part of this activity. I have two more blank bookmarks and I will be coloring them soon :))) And yes, I also used Hobby Ideas 3D Pearl liner to create border design.

A Thank You card

I made this card over the last weekend in a record time of one hour. I had received my new Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup 6 X 6 Paper Pad and was very excited to use it and try my skills with it. I used some of my punches, some newly bought stamps and embellishments to make it. I have not made it for anyone in particular. I have given my photos for hard copies and I wanted to do something with the pages so I just gave it a try. Check these snaps out. Do leave you feedback in comments.

My first blog post !!!! Yuppieeeeee !!!!!

Hello everyone !!!! Welcome to my first and only blog that is entirely dedicated to my extreme love and passion for scrapbooking. Since I am new to the blogging world, I have not been able to make a mark on my blog as far as backgrounds and color themes are concerned. But it seems quite simple and soothing to me. I hope you get the same vibes when you visit it.

Drawing, painting, sketching and craft has always been media for me to express my feelings and deeper thoughts. it is implied that I will be using this blog for the same purpose. When I came across with scrapbooking a few months ago while browsing, I was upset when I could not find many scrapbook resources in India. But many of my new girl-friends' blogs and forums came to my rescue and I have a group now with whom I can exchange all the news and views and excitement related to scrapbooking. Therefore I would like to thank, yes in my very first post itself, Asha, Karuna, Tejal, Mansi and Sudha for the wonderful support and scrapbooking supplies !!!! Keep it up gals !!! All of you rock !!!

This is it and I will be posting one of my recently created card in a new post in a couple of minutes :P. I know this is a very odd time to start with a blog and post a new page but this shows my craziness for the art. Bye.
